About the Role:
We are actively searching for an experienced CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder to join our Commissioning team at our Bayswater Head Office.
In this role, you will report directly to the Commissioning Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include commissioning ANCA machines and performing sample commissioning tool grinds. A strong grasp of CNC tool and cutter grinding is essential, along with the capacity to learn machine commissioning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the production team to provide timely support to improve the production flow through accurate reporting of production issues.
- Grind and problem-solving of sample tools within the commissioning process.
- Eliminate manual errors to progress towards ‘right first time’ through fault recording and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy through the correct use of test equipment, check sheets, and software.
- Ensure quality issues are addressed during the commissioning process and faults are not passed on to the next department.
- Apply manufacturing methods using Lean principles to streamline the manufacturing system and processes with support and guidance.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- CNC Tool and cutter grinder operations experience.
- Comprehension of grinding principles and their application to machine tool design.
- Experience in tool grinding fault finding and resolution.
- Experience in the use of Metrology equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Robotics knowledge is highly regarded but not essential.
