About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Mechatronics Solutions Manager to join our team located in our Bayswater Head Office. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will see you lead the coordination and delivery of standard products to internal and external customers.

This role involves managing several engineering teams with broad mechatronic engineering backgrounds. The role also involves fostering collaboration, and ensuring adherence to timelines, quality benchmarks, and customer requirements. You will drive the development of new products, optimise resource utilisation, and promote collaboration across local and international teams.

This position is essential in ensuring efficient project execution, optimising productivity, and contributing to the continued success of ANCA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in strategic planning and execution for the Global Engineering function, at a divisional level.
  • Work with Product Management & Program Managers to shape the product and service strategy to support overarching divisional strategic objectives and goals.
  • Manage the Product Development pipeline to ensure new projects are scoped and planned.
  • Prepare and recommend detailed financial and timing analyses for upcoming, planned projects.
  • Prepare Portfolio level budgets and headcount submissions.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.
  • High impact negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to create a vision and inspire engineers.
  • Review project timelines and available resource pool to achieve product requirements, project costs, and timing.
  • Create transparent reporting tools for interdepartmental and cross-divisional resource planning and project status reviews.
  • Drive the performance of individual team members through accountability and example-based leadership.
  • Identify and grow Engineering talent through development, management, recruitment, and succession planning.


Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Qualification in an Engineering discipline with proven technical knowledge and experience is required, with any business management qualifications desirable.
  • Product or Project Management experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous Engineering Management experience, i.e., managing teams, talent, development, projects, priorities, resource/capacity management, etc.
  • Proven financial, business, and strategic acumen.
  • Proven ability to context switch between strategic and tactical initiatives and tasks, resulting in reprioritisation, resetting objectives and goals, and redeploying resources with agility.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial aspects and viability of a product in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage medium to large projects, prioritise tasks, and deliver to milestones and objectives.
  • Proven ability to engage stakeholders and lead high-performing teams.
