Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in establishing and growing ANCA Manufacturing Solutions Australia’s footprint in the region. This role focuses on first-level quoting, leveraging expertise in CNC and sheet metal manufacturing, and providing made-to-print solutions. The successful candidate will actively contribute to filling production capacity at the Southern Hemisphere's most accurate CNC machine shop while pursuing long-term sales growth.
This is a unique opportunity to build the AMS Australia team from the ground up, requiring significant travel within Australia and Thailand. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to close sales and nurture prospects within the industrial manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial contract negotiations and provide first-level quoting for CNC machining and sheet metal projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders in the industrial manufacturing sector.
- Grow the sales pipeline for sub-contract manufacturing, including PCBA and other industrial assemblies.
- Collaborate with AMS Thailand to ensure alignment in quoting and production capabilities for Australian customers.
- Identify opportunities for controlled risk-taking to drive business growth while ensuring profit margin targets are met.
- Support the sales and marketing strategy for 2030, contributing to long-term objectives.
- Prepare monthly progress reports on customer activities and sales progress.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of manufacturing sales, business development, and a strategic mindset to meet both short-term and long-term goals.
- Experience in CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication, with a strong commercial acumen.
- Proven ability in sales and contract negotiation, with a network of industry contacts.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Australia and Thailand.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing sales or a similar role with a track record of meeting sales targets.
