Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer is pivotal in ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards. This role involves investigating non-conformances, managing supplier performance, and implementing corrective actions to enhance overall quality assurance processes.

As a key contributor, you will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers, driving initiatives that streamline operations and improve product reliability.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a qualified professional with a strong background in quality assurance and engineering principles.

  • Investigate and process non-conformances from production and suppliers
  • Manage quarantine stocks and support disposition of non-conforming parts
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes
  • Assist in AS9102 compliance and reporting
  • Drive corrective and preventative actions across departments
  • Provide training and contribute to quality system improvements
  • Support monthly reporting and KPI tracking
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to optimise product quality

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in engineering or relevant trade background
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
  • Experience with ISO9001 or AS9102 Quality Management Systems
  • Proficiency in quality and problem-solving tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in problem-solving teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with machining, surface treatment, and precision assembly
  • Familiarity with quality measuring equipment and business systems
  • Strong PC skills (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases)

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to quality assurance, exhibit a flexible attitude, and possess the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
