Position Overview
The Senior Applications Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical support and acting as a liaison between customers and various internal teams, including sales, engineering, and product management. This position is responsible for managing the integration of ANCA Motion products, ensuring customer requirements are met, and delivering high-quality technical documentation and training. The engineer will also engage in root cause analysis and fault diagnosis to enhance product performance and reliability.
In this role, you will be tasked with scoping and managing customer requirements and providing technology demonstrations, and commissioning of ANCA Motion products. You will support the development of software applications and assist in creating electrical designs and drawings. Working closely with the engineering teams, you will focus on providing solutions to customer issues and feedback to improve product quality. You will also maintain accurate records of service faults and technical support queries, ensuring all communication is professional and timely.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a strong technical background and a commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
- 3 – 8 years of experience in a similar technical role.
- Customer-facing technical support experience in an industrial automation, machining, or similar background.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or a related field.
- Strong understanding of control systems.
- Electrical / Mechanical design and commissioning experience.
- Experience with root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of machine tool construction (mechanical, electrical, PLC, software, HMI).
- Familiarity with PC-based software packages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute positively to group dynamics.
