About the Role
This is a 6-month contract or secondment opportunity focused on ensuring new products and engineering changes are successfully implemented into manufacturing. You’ll oversee prototype builds, validate manufacturing readiness, and manage BOM and ERP compliance. The role is central to bridging engineering and operations, ensuring new designs are production-ready and aligned with ANCA’s manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage prototype build plans
- Oversee physical builds and provide technical support on the shop floor
- Ensure materials, tooling, and documentation are available and accurate
- Liaise with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams
- Validate manufacturing processes and readiness for production
- Ensure BOM and ERP system accuracy and compliance
- Capture build issues and provide structured feedback to improve future designs
- Promote safety, continuous improvement, and operational alignment
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, industrialisation, or NPI
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- ERP and BOM management experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Hands-on build and cross-functional coordination experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with low-volume or prototype builds
- Practical understanding of DFM and lean principles
- Proficiency in PLM and Excel
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
