About the Role
This newly created role is focused on technical procurement and supplier management for engineered items and materials. You’ll be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring supplier performance to support production and project timelines. The role also involves ERP system support, contract negotiation, and collaboration with internal teams to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials and services for production and projects
- Obtain competitive quotations for engineered items and explore alternate sourcing options
- Liaise with suppliers regarding availability, delivery, and performance
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews
- Issue purchase orders and manage open orders
- Support ERP setup and maintain item policy accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams on project and production requirements
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes and QMS standards
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Australian citizenship
- 3–5 years’ experience in technical purchasing and supplier management
- ERP system knowledge
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in production and inventory management
- APICS qualification
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations
- Experience with demand planning and logistics
- Eligibility to hold an Australian Security Clearance (DISP)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar, experience within as AS9100 organisation
