About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support qualification testing activities for a complex mechanical system in an industrial engineering environment. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll assist with test execution, data capture and analysis, and technical documentation. This is a paid, fixed‑term role offering hands‑on exposure to real engineering challenges, ideal for students seeking practical industry experience alongside their studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and supervise mechanical test execution activities
- Assist with test setup, equipment checks, and safe operation of machinery
- Gather, record, and analyse test data to support engineering outcomes
- Prepare test reports and technical documentation in line with standards
- Support engineers in day‑to‑day test and development activities
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Currently studying Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics or pneumatics
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work safely and responsibly in an industrial environment
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to laboratory, workshop, or test equipment
- Interest in defence or complex engineering programs
- Practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
Salary & Benefits
